Job Description

Shift Leads are responsible for overseeing daily store operations during assigned shifts, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining product quality, and supporting team members. This role acts as a bridge between staff and management, helping create a positive, efficient, and upbeat work environment aligned with the Playa Bowls brand. The job entails: prepping fruit, making frozen fruit bases; smoothies; juices; smoothie bowls, taking customer orders, cleaning work stations, and executing effective customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Consistently checking products to ensure consistency and quality
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding food quality, service, and accommodations
• Receive food and beverage deliveries, checking delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity
• Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing and presentation of food to ensure company standards
• Review work procedures and operational problems to determine ways to improve service, performance, or safety
• Maintain food and equipment inventories
• Train new employees and evaluate employee performances
• Cash register counts
• Adhere to opening and closing procedures and maintain accompanying records

REQUIREMENTS

• Must at least be over the age of 18
• Must be able to lift over 25 pounds
• Previous managerial experience
• Critical thinking skills
• Communication and active listening skills
• Ability to lead a shift with anywhere between 2-6 team members
• Ability to work at least 20+ hours weekly
• Must have working Smart Phone
• Must have open availability (morning, evening, afternoon & weekends)
