Salary: $90,000 - 150,000 per year Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree and 4 years of experience in software application development and maintenance or High School Diploma/GED with 8 years of experience in the same field
- 8+ years of Front End/UI focused software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in React 16+, Redux, Mobx Store Management, Node.js, Typescript, ES6, CSS3, and CSS Preprocessors
- Familiarity with grid layout and Jest testing framework
- Extensive experience in Agile and Iterative delivery methodologies
- Passion for building elegant, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Ability to influence architectural decisions and design
- Proficient in analyzing and troubleshooting production issues
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
- Knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Hands-on experience with RESTful web services and transactional databases
- Familiarity with enterprise integration services and API gateways
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, Gitlab, Docker, and Jenkins
- Bonus points for experience within regulated financial institutions
Responsibilities: - Collaborate with a team of developers and automation engineers, guided by a product manager and scrum master
- Work closely with product and business owners to comprehend the business domain and products for optimal design and implementation
- Devote a significant portion of your time to system design while also engaging in hands-on implementation activities
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of our client-facing web application, microservices, data architecture, databases, and their integrations
- Become a subject matter expert in one or more technical environments, establishing frameworks or standards for best practices
- Estimate large features and releases using a t-shirt sizing approach
- Decompose sizeable feature sets into understandable segments for team members, guiding them to successful implementation and training them accordingly
- Facilitate technical designs towards consensus and endorsement from the Architecture Review Team
- Design and develop scalable enterprise solutions to meet specific business requirements, ensuring frameworks and services are extendable and reusable
- Conduct impact assessments of proposed changes on existing architecture and technology solutions
- Explore alternative solution options, weighing cost/benefit implications
- Host group training sessions or informal learning sessions
- Propose enhancements to existing processes, collaborating with the product manager or team lead for approval and documentation
- Identify opportunities for code refactoring and address technical debt within regular delivery activities
- Leverage your previous project experience to ensure code quality while mentoring junior engineers
- Participate in architectural and design discussions, considering prior knowledge of the existing codebase
- Assist in mentorship of team members during large-scale feature planning
- Confidently articulate your knowledge during code reviews
- Take initiative to learn new concepts and surpass expectations in your role
- Continuously seek self-improvement and support the development of your team
