The Post
Working as part of the Policy, Campaigns and Communications team, the post-holder will raise the external profile of the union, its policy objectives, and the work of its members.
This will include exploiting the benefits of digital communication and social media to achieve HCSA’s campaign goals.
The Policy and Campaigns officer will research, write and develop reports and policy documents relating to the work of HCSA, draft briefings on policy issues, lead on the co-ordination of campaigns, and advise on current health policy trends and developments.
They will maintain good relations with key external stakeholders in the pursuit of HCSA strategic objectives.
They will also co-ordinate and contribute to the lawful execution of industrial action by HCSA members and support elected officials in negotiations.
