Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
To teach the curriculum established by the school/IBO, integrating the curriculum with the school’s Educational Objectives;
To take the responsibility of designing lesson plans that demonstrate a clear connection between instruction and the curriculum established by the school, selecting and using school-approved teaching strategies and classroom resources, implementing teaching research;
To provide a stimulating and effective learning environment for the students in supporting their learning, encouraging students’ creative thinking and promote critical inquiry;
To maintain close partnership with parents, colleagues and the community;
To provide both written reports (termly) and informal communications (where required) to parents on the growth, progress, and attainment of the students;
To Create a safe, orderly and supportive classroom atmosphere that is conducive to effective teaching and learning;
Other duties as reasonably required by the Head of High School;

Requirements

Be able to teach IGCSE Maths and IB/Alevel/IG Physics at the same time.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education preferred
Teaching qualification
Minimum 2 years’ full time teaching experience in an International school
Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
Ability to work as a part of a team in planning and implementing the school’s curriculum, strategic plans and policies
Strong interests in leading extra-curricula programme
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Personal integrity and professional ethics
