Job Description

Responsibilities

• Clean and inspect parts prior to painting.
• Prep products for final paint application.
• Mix coatings with reducer and catalyst at correct mixtures using color mixture equipment.
• Spray primers and sealers with an air paint system.
• Apply color and clear coatings with spray equipment to meet coverage and gloss standards.
• Correct errors in applications as needed.
• Maintain spray equipment to operational standards, excluding repair.
• Ensure paint booth cleanliness and perform filter changes, logging these activities.
• Handle hazardous waste properly and know spill response procedures.
• Keep work area clean and organized.

Essential Skills

• Experience with industrial painting and knowledge of paint application techniques.
• Ability to use hand tools, dual-action sanders, and grinders.
• Understanding of OSHA and EPA standards.
• Proficiency in using paint guns and maintaining optimal performance through disassembly and cleaning.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Preferred 1-year experience in automotive paint prep.
• Preferred high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate professionally.
• Willingness to learn how to mix primers and other paint products.

Work Environment

Work in a thriving manufacturing environment with a team size ranging from 6 to 15 people. The facility, larger on the inside than it appears, is designed for efficiency and productivity. Expect physical demands such as bending, stooping, and lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance. The environment is non-temperature-controlled, with temperatures reaching above 95 degrees. Safety is paramount, and all employees must operate protective safety equipment effectively.

This is a Permanent position based out of Snyder, NE.

The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $62400.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Snyder,NE.
