Job Title: Industrial Painter

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our team. This role involves preparing and painting products with precision and attention to quality, ensuring they meet our high standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in wet spray painting and the ability to adjust paint parameters to achieve desired finishes.

Responsibilities

• Hang and handle products safely using various hooks and carts during the painting process.
• Clean and prepare part surfaces according to specifications.
• Inspect parts prior to painting for needed repairs, sanding, or bodywork.
• Mask parts and plug holes to prevent overspray, adhering to print notes with tight tolerances.
• Mix paint, catalyst, reducers, and additives according to specifications.
• Adjust paint and process parameters based on atmospheric conditions or coating irregularities to achieve specified quality finishes.
• Perform paint touchups on completed assemblies.
• Inspect parts for defects and perform repairs or repainting as required.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on painting and mixing equipment, booths, and filtration systems.
• Effectively manage time to ensure the on-time delivery of projects and complete labor reports accurately.
• Adhere to safety standards and procedures, including the use of designated Personal Protective Equipment.
• Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience in wet spray painting.
• Proficiency with spray guns and paint prep.
• Experience working in a paint booth environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Madison, WI.

The pay range for this position is $47000.00 - $58000.00/yr.
