Job Description:
As the Working Office Manager at Gulf South Foot & Ankle, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day functioning of our medical practice. You will oversee various administrative and operational tasks to ensure the efficient flow of both patient care and office operations. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Leadership:
Manage and supervise front desk staff, medical receptionists, and administrative personnel.
Implement and enforce office policies and procedures to maintain a professional and efficient environment.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy laws (HIPAA) in all office activities.
Patient Services:
Greet and assist patients, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience.
Schedule patient appointments and maintain an organized appointment calendar.
Handle patient inquiries, resolve issues, and provide exceptional customer service.
Supply and Inventory Management:
Maintain inventory levels for medical supplies and office materials.
Staff Training and Development:
Provide training and guidance to office staff to enhance their skills and productivity.
Conduct performance evaluations and address any performance issues as necessary.
Facility and Equipment Maintenance:
Coordinate maintenance and repairs for office equipment and facilities.
Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
Reporting and Record-Keeping:
Prepare regular reports on office operations and financial performance.
Maintain accurate records of patient information, financial transactions, and office expenses.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance.
Familiarity with medical office software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
