Role Overview As a Fertility RN at OntoFertility, you will serve as a key clinical care provider and patient advocate throughout the fertility treatment process. You’ll coordinate care, provide patient education, manage medications, monitor progress, and collaborate with physicians, embryology lab staff, and administrative teams to ensure high‑quality outcomes and exceptional patient experiences. Key Responsibilities Provide individualized nursing care to patients undergoing fertility treatments (IVF, IUI, egg freezing, donor cycles, etc). Educate patients and families about treatment protocols, medications (administration, side effects, monitoring), lifestyle factors and expectations. Perform medication teaching, dosing verification, patient self‑administration guidance, and monitoring of responses. Coordinate scheduling of diagnostic tests, ultrasounds, lab work, procedures (egg retrievals, embryo transfer), ensuring all consents and documentation are complete. Act as liaison between patients and physicians/clinical team—answering questions, relaying test results, facilitating communication. Monitor treatment progress and outcomes (e.g., follicular development, labs, ultrasounds, early pregnancy monitoring). Document thoroughly in the EMR: treatment plans, patient interactions, lab/ultrasound results, medication logs. Participate in quality improvement efforts, protocol development, patient‑satisfaction initiatives, and cross‑department collaboration. Maintain professional credentials, participate in continuing education, stay current with advances in reproductive medicine and fertility nursing. Required Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (State of Illinois) Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school; BSN preferred BLS certification required; ACLS or PALS may be preferred Minimum 2 years of RN experience; prior experience in women’s health, OB/GYN, fertility, or reproductive endocrinology preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, teaching and patient‑advocacy skills Ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate care, work autonomously and as part of a team Comfort with EMR systems, scheduling, documentation, and standard office/clinic technology Compassionate, patient‑centric approach with emotional resilience and ability to support patients through complex journeys Preferred Qualifications Prior fertility clinic experience or knowledge of assisted reproductive technologies (ART) Experience teaching or supporting patients through medication self‑administration or cycles Familiarity with fertility monitoring (ultrasounds, labs, follicle tracking) and early pregnancy care Experience with quality‑improvement or patient‑experience initiatives Working Conditions & Schedule Primarily clinic‑based in the Park Ridge‑area with possible occasional early mornings, evenings or weekend availability (based on scheduling of ultrasounds or procedures) Fast‑paced fertility environment: coordinating multiple patient treatment plans, labs, imaging, etc Some standing, walking, sitting; typical for outpatient clinic/fertility practice Occasional on‑call or holiday rotation may apply Close coordination with physicians, schedulers, front‑office and patients After‑hours coverage with bonus compensation Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience PTO, paid holidays, health/dental/vision insurance 401(k) Opportunity for bonus or incentive based on patient‑experience or cycle performance metrics Why Join Us Be part of a cutting‑edge fertility practice in Park Ridge helping build families Work in a supportive, compassionate environment where nursing voices are valued Opportunity to grow your skill set in ART and to advance within a thriving practice Contribute to making fertility care more accessible, transparent and inclusive Join a team mission‑driven to deliver outstanding patient‑care experiences #J-18808-Ljbffr
