Job Title: Dispatcher

Pay Rate: $21.50 - $23/hr.

Shift: PM

Benefits: Medical, Dental, AD&D, PSL

​ Dispatcher in a cold storage or cooler facility- coordinating with warehouse personnel, and scheduling inbound/outbound shipments 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Logistics & Scheduling: Coordinating inbound and outbound loads, scheduling carrier appointments, and assigning dock doors for loading/unloading. 
• Inventory & Order Coordination: Creating pick orders, verifying inventory, and organizing item orders for efficient fulfillment. 
• Driver Communication: Communicating directly with drivers via phone or radio to relay instructions, provide updates on dock availability, and monitor progress. 
• Documentation & Compliance: Reviewing driver logs, generating freight bills, and ensuring all paperwork (e.g., bills of lading) is accurate, as well as maintaining compliance with safety regulations. 
• Problem Resolution: Addressing logistical issues such as truck delays, traffic congestion, or product handling questions to maintain the cold chain integrity. 
• Inventory Control: Verifying stock levels, monitoring temperature records, and ensuring proper documentation for damaged or rejected goods. 

Required Skills and Qualifications 

• Experience: Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, or transportation is preferred. 
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and Microsoft Office. Must have experience using Famous Software. 
• Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to interact with customers, drivers, and internal warehouse staff. 
• Organization: Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. 
• Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking skills to handle last-minute schedule changes. 
• Knowledge: Understanding of cold storage procedures and safety guidelines is a plus. Physical Requirements 
• Ability to work in or move between a climate-controlled office and a cold storage warehouse environment. 
• Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods while managing communications.
