Purpose:

The Cost Accounting Analyst is responsible for analyzing, tracking, and reporting costs associated with production, inventory, and operations across global QualiTech. This role supports financial planning, margin analysis, and decision-making by ensuring accurate cost data and identifying opportunities for cost efficiency.

• Analyze and maintain standard costs for raw materials, labor, and overhead.
• Monitor and report on cost variances. (material, labor, and overhead).
• Prepare monthly inventory valuation and cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis. 
• Partner with operations to understand production processes and cost drivers.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes related to manufacturing costs.
• Reconcile inventory accounts and support month-end and year-end close.
• Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle count programs.
• Develop and improve cost accounting systems, processes, and controls.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve profitability.

Hours:

• Days
• Overtime and weekends may be required.

Skills/Work Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in cost accounting or manufacturing finance.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory management.
• Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central a plus).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• CPA or CMA certification (or in progress).
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Familiarity with standard costing and variance analysis.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).

Work Environment:

• Office-based with regular interaction with operations and production teams.
• Production area can vary in temperature either be cool or warm depending on the season and possibly humid in the summer months.
• Concrete floors are slippery, especially when wet.
