Job Description

Metro Appliances & More in Oklahoma City has a full-time position available for an Appliance Service Technician. We are looking for a technician skilled in diagnoses and repairs appliances such as washers, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers and ovens. 

Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

No weekends

Pay: 50K plus

Requirements:

• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities:

• Inspecting appliances to identify malfunctions, using tools to test components, and using schematic drawings.
• Replacing parts like pumps, motors, seals, and circuit boards; dismantling and reassembling units.
• Explaining repair options, providing cost estimates, and advising customers on proper usage.
• Recording parts used, time spent, and completing invoices.
• Understanding electrical circuits, gas systems, and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical testing.
• Strong critical thinking skills to diagnose complex issues.
• Professional communication skills to interact with customers in their homes.
