Job Summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is seeking a Graphic Design Intern to join our Home Office Marketing team. In this role, you will gain valuable hands-on experience.

The Graphic Design Intern is responsible for providing support to the Creative Services department through a variety of channels including print, digital, web and others as assigned.

This internship is in-person at our St. Petersburg, FL location during the dates of May 18th to August 6th, 2026.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Provides support to professional employees working in an organizational function related to the Intern's area of study.
• Contributes to assigned projects and may assist with the development and maintenance of documentation or records.
• Learns organizational processes and procedures.
• Job shadows other more experienced professionals and or support staff.
• May also support the documentation & updates of procedures or work instructions.
• Handles basic issues and problems

Additional Responsibilities:

• Develop a wide variety digital and print marketing materials
• Assist with website graphics
• Assist with collateral updates and version control
• Creation of various logos for products
• Ensure all materials follow company brand guidelines
• Edit photos, manage file archives, and assist with video editing
• Other projects as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Required education and experience: Must be currently enrolled in related Business courses or be within 6 months of graduation; No prior experience needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's or Master's Degree.
• Discipline/Major: Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Marketing or other related field.
• Knowledge, skills & abilities: Ability to work as part of a team. Oral and written communication skills. Attention to detail. Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Mac-based computer knowledge. Team player. Organized. High sense of urgency.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
• Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

• No or very little travel likely.
